Raised between North East London and Beirut, his work is grounded in lived experience of urban working-class life and shaped by a diasporic perspective. He tells bold, character-driven stories that centre underrepresented voices with thoughtfulness, visual flair, and bite.

Danny studied Human, Social and Political Sciences at Magdalene College, Cambridge, focusing on urban marginality and social inequality, before completing an MA in Directing at MetFilm School in 2024. A former Footlights member and actor, he has worked professionally across film, theatre, and performance.

His debut short, Off-Licence, is currently on the festival circuit. He is developing a slate of original film, theatre and commercial projects through his creative brand, Apparition.

Most of all, Danny is drawn to stories with soul, humour, and bite - spotlighting communities too often spoken about, but rarely listened to.

Danny is a British-Arab writer-director working across stage and screen.
